Just to make Keetha happy I figured I would post again. My wife is supposed to be doing this but she is busy carrying our baby and all. Tara is still doing quite well and is only getting a little frustrated with the whole clothes beginning not to fit and all. As for me, I decided to hurt my left knee this time and Im pretty sure that something is torn. Of course I will continue to play indoor soccer and basketball until the doctor says that something is definitely wrong. I like playing too much to quit. Plus I am of course a star player on both teams!!!!!! Enough of tooting my own horn. We just had a big ice storm last night and today. Its amazing how something so damaging can look so beautiful. I guess thats about all I got this time.
Our dogs are still the cutest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - - - I made the FIRST LINE of your post!!!!!! I think I've arrived.
Hope your knee isn't too serious.
We got a light 'frosting' - - - and that was all, but it is pretty cold out there - - - - FINALLY.
Would be fun to see you face to face sometime when you are visiting your Marion family!!! :-)
Do you know we live a 'stone's throw' from Kari and Brad's Bond Street house?
Ours are the cutest!
You know, Kevin, pictures would be a great addition to your blog. Pictures of pregnant Tara, pictures of the snow....even pictures of your nasty knee! You do remember having knee surgery in high school don't you? I know what it is! You want it to get bad so you can have surgery and then everyone will pamper you! jk Is it the same knee? I'm sure it feels great now! :) Hope it gets better soon!
Kevin - - - -WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!
Kim - different knee
Keetha - I'm sure Kevin would show his face if he ever did visit his family in Marion! Tara has never been here - she's really missing out! Kevin has some lame excuse about saving his leave time so he can get out of the Navy...
My dog is handsome.
Girls - - - lets have a nice chat on here and see how long it takes Kevin to "catch" us at it!!!!
Kim - - - we've had a lovely snowfall over the weekend here in Marion too - - - I believe a bit more than in your picture.
Kari - - - I don't have a dog, so I can't get in that particular discussion.
WHAT ABOUT OUR COLTS!!!!!!
Hi, Keetha! This could be fun! Of course, we could probably do this on Kari's blog and see if she notices! :) She hasn't written anything in a long time!
Way to go Colts!
btw...Keetha....how much snow have you gotten? They were showing Indianapolis on the news with all the snow...the brown nasty stuff in the roads that I despise. I would give anything to have snow here. We've been getting only ice, freezing rain, or sleet the past few years. :(
I'm not sure the total amount - - - - I'd say before the wind it was between 3 and 4 inches. BUT - - - it has been cold since the snow, so we still have nearly all of it on the ground.
Just came by to see what was happening in this conversation - - - - and what did I find? NOTHING!!!
GO COLTS!!
Sorry, I forgot to check the comments and get in on this conversation. I would notice on my blog because I have my comments e-mailed to me.
Keetha, the Colts were amazing! We watched a replay of that game today at Mom and Dad's.
First half - - - - not so amazing.
Second half - - - - amazing, nerve wracking - - -
BUT THE END - - - - Oh the excitement!!!
I have new heroes - - - Klecko, Saturday, and Jackson. Addai was great too, but he was already my hero.
One week to go - - - -
I have my blue hair dye all ready!!!
Blue nails too - - - - go check my blog.
Hey - - - I think I'm having a one-sided conversation here. I'm talking to my favorite person. (Hehehehehehe)
Yooooo Hoooo - - - - any body home???
Yep! I was grading papers and then watching last night's episode of "24" online. Now I'm "home."
Mr.Saturday (as opposed to the day) was very cool. I agree - the first half of the game was icky. I was ready to go home at 21-3. Then they came around and made the late night at Mom and Dad's worth it. We'll just plan to spend the night during the Super Bowl (we don't have cable, dish, antenna - you get the picture.)
Where are you, Keetha? I think Kim has forgotten about this conversation, too. Last time Kevin figured it out long before this :)
I haven't forgotten, I just haven't had anything to say. I created a new blog for my students where I post daily notes and homework assignments. I've also included links to practice End-of-Course questions and to the Prentice Hall website. I don't even know if any of my students have checked it out yet, but it's been fun so far! :)
Kevin.....you should have your comments emailed to you so you will see when we have one of these "conversations." :)
Yesterday I was sick as a dog and didn't even LOOK at my computer. I'm back in business today.
That means, I gotta get outa here and get ready for school - - - - -
Keetha, you must have been REALLY sick to miss your blog time!
Kim, the point is not to have anything to say, but to see how many comments we can make before Kevin notices. I got the PC stuff today. I may just have to "borrow" your little, white bowls for awhile, in case I need more than four.
At IWU we have Blackboard, where we can post all kinds of things, including our Power Point lectures, homework, announcements, gradebook, etc. I thought some high schools had access. You should convince your school to take part.
Keetha,
Mom said that Dad said that Kevin said that nothing was torn in his knee.
I was really sick - - - too sick to CARE about my blog time.
Glad Kevin's knee isn't torn. Sorry he isn't around here to talk to us about it himself.
Kari, what is Blackboard? Is there somewhere on the web that I can check it out?
Keetha, I'm glad you're feeling better! :)
Kevin.....where are you?
Btw...Kari....you may NOT use my PC stuff. :) Nice try! I got my stuff from Marie today for my PC party. Yipee!!
COLTS ROCK!!!!
Colts definitely rock! I checked your blog, Keetha, to see how you enjoyed the game. Daniel was "helping" right then, so I couldn't comment. Kim, did you watch the game??? You can check out Blackboard at blackboard.indwes.edu I can give you my log in someday - just not in public comments!
What Kari, you don't want ALL of us logging into your blackboard?? I can't imagine why ever not!!!! ;-)
After church last night a group of us went out to eat, and around 9:00 someone said, "I wonder how the game is going...." I had forgotten it was the Super Bowl! When we got home we turned it on and saw the last half of the 4th quarter. Unfortunately I was busy doing school work, but it was exciting to see the Colts win! :)
Kim - - - - you're KILLING me over here. HOW could you forget to watch the COLTS??????????????????
Well.....I don't know what to say. :) If it had been baseball it may have been a different story!
LOL - - - - and I probably wouldn't even turn on the TV for that - - - -
Girls - - - do you suppose that Kevin is reading all this and just letting us ramble on - - - in essence 'having the last laugh' at us?
He can "have the last laugh" if he wants... we still get a "private" chat room!
I couldn't believe that Kim forgot the Super Bowl either.
I think that IWU might frown upon my posting Blackboard login info, considering that my entire gradebook is on that sight!
This is the 33rd comment... I wonder how far they will go???
I don't know how far this will go - - - but here is 34.
I was kidding about the blackboard thing - - - of course you can't publicize it.
I know you were kidding :)
I know you were kidding :)
Keri, I've never known you to stutter before!!!!
First of all, my name is spelled "Kari," unlike your daughter's name. Secondly, maybe it's a good thing that I didn't think it posted the first time, because now we have more comments!
To answer your question about how Daniel eats his ravioli, he shovels it in with his hands - it's too time consuming to eat it with a fork when he's HUNGRY! He just wears his shoes at all time, but he doesn't eat with them.
Oooops - - - - I figured I'd make that spelling error ONE DAY, Kari!!!!
Please forgive!!!
Easy spelling error to make :) All is forgiven of course.
Wow! Where have I been?
I just checked this blog a couple of days ago...
...and now there are what....
...44 comments now???? :)
Is there a limit to how many comments can be on a blog?
Well, I'm still at school....
...at 5:15 on a Friday night, so I'd better get home. Our test scores from last semester's EOC's came today so it's caused quite a commotion. AND, Mike is on his way home from Florida. He won't be home until 10 PM or so, so I'm not hurrying home. Maybe I'll go and clean my house! :)
I got tired of leaving all those comments, so I typed a lot. Now I'm going....bye for now! :)
You're crackin' me up, Kim!!!
Once Anon had over 80 comments on one post - - - - so I don't guess there is a limit.
When Kevin wakes up and smells the coffee and realizes what a party we are having on his blog - - - and makes a new post for us - - - - we'll move on to THAT one and make a NEW party there!!! ;-)
OK, I'm interrupting. Kevin's probably ignoring you on purpose to annoy you. That is what little brothers do best, right? Too bad you can't guess his password and update his blog for him.
Ooohhhh!! That would be fun! :)
Just imagine what we would say about him... Of course, we could just post what we think right here! Like how he used to cry all the time, or how he tried to throw food up on his plate while we were having a nice family dinner and Mom clamped her hand on his mouth and made him swallow it. I almost did that to Rachel the other day, in the very same kitchen that the previous incident occured! She wisely chose to swallow the offensive green beans...
I too thought of how funny it would be if we could make a post for him - - - - -
Hey Kari - - - where's the 16 inches of snow we were supposed to get? I don't think we even got enough for a measly little two hour delay - - - -
I take it all back - - - - we're CLOSED!!! I'm in a bit of shock, there just isn't that much happening out there at 5 a.m. I guess they are BELIEVING all the dire predictions - - - -
Well, there goes our President's Day - - - -
And there goes your next built in snow day, since I saw you're closed tomorrow, too! I looked out the window at 6:30 am and saw that it was blowing, but it didn't look like too much snow had come down yet. But, Rachel was cancelled by then as well. Now our big dog is having a hard time romping through the back yard to go potty. The snow is up to his chest.
My favorite story about Kevin is when we watched him mow the yard and pause in the middile to dance to the music he was listening to on his headphones.
I think it's sweet that he would cry when he was younger. It means he's sensitive and I love that! :)
Funny story about Kevin dancing while he mowed!!!
Yep - - - now I bet we lose one of our Easter days - - - - -
I posted pictures of our snow on my blog this morning.
I didn't love the crying at the time! I remember rolling my eyes and saying, "He's crying AGAIN!" Kinda reminds me of his neice (don't tell her that!)
The dancing while mowing was HILARIOUS! I wish we had a video of it. He would stop at the end of the row and sing into his "microphone" while holding the mower with one hand. We still laugh about that.
I posted pictures of our snow a few minutes ago.
We have a video of Keri "dancing" to Harry Connick Jr. - - - she was 17 at the time - - - and it embarrasses her to this day. We all LOVE it.
I misspelled niece!
If it makes any of you feel any better, kids down here don't usually get President's Day & Easter days off. However, MLK, Jr, Day & some Mexican holidays are considered worthy enough to not have school. One reason we homeschool is to protest!

We had MLK day off - - - and I'm glad. Now that we've had all this snow, we may get precious few MORE days off - - - -
Since we've only had one snow day so far, we may actually get a spring break! Those are the first days they take away when we get snow. This will be the first time in 9 years that I will have a week off at Easter. I hope we have no more snow days! :) We get MLK Day off, too, and it is never a snow make up day.....
Our administrator has never yet taken away Spring Break - - - I think they are afraid of the Hue and Cry from parents who have already "booked" their vacations for that week.
We "build in" MLK and President's days for snow day make-up - - - then we have Good Friday and Easter Monday, I bet they go next - - - after that I believe we'll be teaching longer into June - - - -
BTW - - - this makes comment #67 - - - Do you think Kevin knows we're doing this and is just ignoring us?
I wouldn't put it past him... :)
I almost mentioned it to him on the phone yesterday, but I didn't. Spring Break in Indiana is considered sacred, by some I think.
Where is everyone? Did you move the party to a different blog and didn't tell me?
Nope - - - I just didn't think of any new nonsense to post on here last night.
I think Kevin needs to wake up and smell the old proverbial coffee!!
Had such a LOUD and LONG sneezing fit tonight, I'm sure it rattled the glass in YOUR windows, Kari - - - - did you feel/hear it?
I was actually in Ohio Friday night, so I didn't get to feel/hear your sneezing fit. I have been having lots of coughing fits of my own.
Kim said that Kevin checks our little conversation here about once a week. Mom reminded me of something else we need to post about him. When he was little, he wanted to use mom's "scraper." In other words, he wanted her RAZOR! I'll save the fraternity clothes story for another day.
So - - - - he's having the 'last' laugh at us talking about him behind his back which really isn't
But the fun part is that we get to talk about him (or make fun of him-whatever) and he isn't saying anything! We can pretty much say whatever we want...he'll read it...and then he won't defend himself! It's great! :)
He may have to say something about this one, though, because he ALWAYS does. He was almost an adult when he made a comment about "fraternity clothes" instead of "maternity clothes." I have never let him forget it. He tries to bring up the time that I pronounced the word "aisle" just as it appears, but I was a little kid then - not a teenager!!
So - - - - does our party now move to the new posts???? ;-)
